Accessibility Statement

BiddingBase aims to make its website and product usable for everyone, including assistive-technology users.
Scope
This statement covers biddingbase.com and the BiddingBase web application as of August 2026. It does not cover third-party integrations linked from the service.
Why this matters
Accessibility is a legal requirement under the Finnish Act on the Provision of Digital Services and the European Accessibility Act. It also reflects how we build software: clear structure, readable text, and keyboard support help every user, regardless of ability.
Standards we aim for
We target WCAG 2.2 AA. New features are reviewed against keyboard navigation, screen-reader semantics, and colour-contrast guidelines before release.
What we've done
- Semantic landmarks, headings, and skip links.
- Keyboard focus styles on every interactive control.
- Sufficient colour contrast in dark mode.
- Alt text on meaningful imagery; decorative images marked as such.
Where we're still improving
We are improving screen-reader announcements for live updates and adding a high-contrast theme. Feedback is welcome.
Evaluation
Last evaluated on 28 August 2026 through automated checks and manual keyboard testing. A formal accessibility audit is scheduled for Q4 2026.
